LI Junru was born in June 1959 in Huludao City, Liaoning Province, non-party personage. In September 2009, he graduated from the school of English, Shanghai Foreign Studies University, with a doctor's degree in literature. He graduated from Faculty of Arts, University of Birmingham in September 1994 with a master's degree in linguistics. He graduated from the Department of foreign languages of Hebei Normal University in August 1979.
Work experience:
From July 2006 to present, Professor, School of Foreign Languages, Nanjing University of Finance and Economics. From May 2004 to July 2006, deputy director, Department of Foreign Languages, Nanjing University of Finance and economics. In August 2002, Professor, Department of Foreign Languages, Nanjing University of Finance and economics, engaged in teaching. In January 1997, deputy director of Foreign Language Department of Hebei Institute of technology. In January 1996, deputy director of the foreign language teaching and research section of the Basic Department of Hebei Institute of technology. In January 1980, he was a teacher in the foreign language teaching and research section of the Basic Department of Hebei Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He was also the director of Hebei Foreign Language Teaching Research Association and vice president of Tangshan foreign language society. Master's thesis respondent and reviewer, School of foreign languages, Nanjing University. Member of the steering group of Nanjing University of Finance and economics.

In September 2000, he was awarded the excellent teacher of Tangshan and Hebei Institute of technology.
Research areas:
He is mainly engaged in the research of linguistics and applied linguistics. He has successively presided over two scientific research and teaching reform projects of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. He published one monograph in foreign language teaching and Research Press and one monograph in Hohai University Press. He is the editorial board member of the textbook adaptation Committee of experiential Business English published by higher education press, and the chief editor of audio visual oral Volume I of experiential Business English. Several papers have been published in foreign language teaching, a CSSCI source journal. The paper (the application of Interlanguage Theory in foreign language teaching) won the second prize of excellent scientific research achievements of Hebei Provincial Department of education.
